Three Full-Ride College Scholarships

Win One of These and Graduate Debt Free

If awarded one of these scholarships, your student will get a full ride through school. Not bad, right? Especially since the cost of tuition is only increasing. Some schools will offer a full-tuition scholarship, but they are not the same.

If a school offers a full-tuition scholarship, it is only covering the cost of tuition. The number your student should pay attention to is the cost of attendance, which will include books, health insurance, room and board, and other fees. These fees add up and will increase the total costs by thousands of dollars.

Let’s look at the 2020-2021 cost of attendance for UCLA, a public university. The tuition is $13, 239. The total cost to attend the university if your student lives in campus housing and is a California resident is $36,767. Out-of-state residents can expect to add $29,754.

A full-ride scholarship will cover the additional costs such as housing, meal plan, books, health insurance (which is required unless the student provides proof of insurance), and in some cases a laptop and travel to and from the university from the student’s home (if the student lives out of state).

These three scholarships below will allow your student to attend college and receive their degree debt-free.

Gates Scholarship Program

The Gates Scholarship (TGS) is a highly selective, last-dollar scholarship for outstanding minority, high school seniors from low-income households. Deadline to apply is September 15, 2020.
