It’s time to start thinking about summer activities and programs! I know, right? It’s hard to believe, but those deadlines are coming up quick. Just as an FYI, these programs plan to operate in-person unless there are new guidelines regarding COVID.
CURIE Academy is a one-week program for high school girls who excel in math and science. The focus is on rising juniors and seniors who may not have had prior opportunities to explore engineering, but want to learn more about it in an interactive atmosphere. Deadline to apply is March 15th.
CATALYST Academy is a one-week program for rising high school juniors and seniors from underrepresented backgrounds who desire to learn about engineering and careers. Deadline to apply is March 15th.
Girls and non-binary students can sign up for a 2-week intensive or 6-week self-paced program to learn computer science skills and prepare for a career in tech.
GRAMMY Camp is a 5-day nonresidential summer music industry program for high school students interested in having a career in music. Financial assistance is available.
Free 10-day program for students interested in pursuing careers in journalism. Deadline to apply Feb. 28th.
Students can spend 6 weeks at Boston University conducting university laboratory research. Financial aid is available. Deadline to apply Feb. 14th.
Smith offers a variety of summer programs (like creative writing, engineering, and women’s studies) varying in length. Financial aid is offered. Applications available Jan. 10th.
Offers teens hands-on experience in astrophysics, biochemistry, and genomics. They offer financial aid that meets 100% of demonstrated need. Deadline to apply is Feb. 25th for US students and Jan. 28th for international students.
