Scholarships Available for Black Females in Computing

The United Negro College Fund in partnership with Reboot Representation Tech is offering a $5,000 Black Females Moving Forward in Computing (BFF) scholarship for Black women majoring in computing degree programs.

In addition to the monetary support, the scholarship will provide academic support, professional development, and access to mentors.

To be eligible, students must be:

  1. Female of African descent,  
  2. Full-time enrollment at an accredited four-year college or university (preference given to HBCU students)
  3. Classification as a freshman or sophomore at the time of application,  
  4. Minimum cumulative 2.5 GPA,  
  5. Major in a computing field (select computer science for any computing-related major)

Select students will have the opportunity to compete for renewable aid.

Deadline to apply August 31, 2020.
