Although the calendar says spring, it still feels like winter in many parts of the country (except here in LA!), it may be hard to believe that summer is on its way. If your college student isn’t taking any academic classes, chances are they’re looking for an internship or a job. Now’s the time to get those applications in.
You’ll definitely want to have your student check out INROADS. They help underserved undergrads find paid internships at top corporations across the country. Not only do they help students find these internships but upon acceptance of a summer internship, INROADS Interns are provided on-going coaching with an advisor, a corporate mentor, access to INROADS’ network and support such as free tutoring and scholarships.
While they accept applications year-round, for priority consideration, they recommend college undergraduates submit their online internship application by April.
To be eligible students must be:
- Attending Accredited College/University
- Full-Time Undergraduate College Student with at least 1 summer or 27 credit hours remaining before graduating college
- Cumulative Grade Point Average of 3.0 or higher. First Semester College Freshman apply with a 0.0
- Major or Career Interest in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Engineering (STEM), Supply Chain Management, Computer Science/MIS, Healthcare, Retail Management and Liberal Arts
