HarperCollins Offers Virtual Internship in Children’s Marketing

Since it doesn’t look like COVID-19 is going anywhere, anytime soon, HarperCollins is offering its first-ever remote internship. Only college students who expect to graduate in 2020 or 2021 are eligible. HarperCollins is focusing on those students who are under-served and may not have had the opportunity to intern this summer. The program will run from September 14 through November 20, 2020.

Although the schedule is flexible, students will work 14 hours a week at $17/hr, they are expected to be available on these dates for programming:

  • 9/14 – 12-3pm EST
  • 9/30 12-5pm EST
  • 10/28 12-5pm EST
  • 11/20 12-5pm EST

Interns will be expected to create engaging content across a wide range of topics in order to support their extensive catalog of books, authors, and brands, including Harper Kids, Shelf Stuff, and Epic Reads. The right candidate will be able to write about books in a humorous and accessible way, design and create eye-catching graphics, and be able to think of new and cool ways to approach content marketing across platforms.

The deadline to apply is 11:59pm EST on Friday, July 17, 2020.
