Looking to gain experience in the arts and museum fields? The Guggenheim Museum Internship Program is open to college juniors and above. The 10-week program provides a $5,250 stipend. Located in New York, housing is not provided.
Interns will gain a broad understanding of how a particular department functions within the context of a major museum, as well as specific skills related to that department’s activities. Interns are assigned based on academic background, professional skills, interests, and career goals. Under the supervision of designated staff members, interns participate in the ongoing work of museum departments, complete individual projects, and contribute to larger Guggenheim initiatives.
The program also incorporates Museum Culture Seminars, site visits to other New York arts and cultural institutions, and discussions with a wide array of arts and museum professionals. A field trip outside of New York City is planned for the end of each internship period.
