College Jumpstart Scholarship

May 1st marked the last day to commit to most colleges and universities. Now that students are in, it’s time to pay for it! If your student is planning on attending a Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU) or is currently enrolled, here are two scholarships to keep on the radar.

The Thurgood Marshall College Fund (TMCF) and Conagra will award a spring 2022 scholarship to eight students attending HBCUs in an amount of up to $6200 through their All-Around Access Scholarship. Students will need to answer this question via video: How will your education benefit you, your family, and the community?

Eligibility requirements include:

  • Be enrolled full-time as a freshman, sophomore, junior or senior at a TMCF member-school during the 2021-2022 academic school year.
  • Current cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher.
  • Able to demonstrate leadership abilities.
  • Able to demonstrate a financial need.
  • Be a U.S. Citizen or legal permanent resident with a valid permanent resident card or passport stamped I-551.

Deadline to apply is June 7, 2021.

This deadline is coming up soon for the Thurgood Marshall College Fund (TMCF) and McDonald’s scholarship. Thirty-Three (33) students attending (HBCUs) will be selected to receive up to $15,000 for the 2021-2022 academic school year ($7,500 per semester), which can only be applied to verifiable costs associated with average tuition and usual fees.

To be eligible, students must be:

  • Be enrolled full-time as a freshman, sophomore, junior, or senior attending an HBCU during the 2021-2022 academic school year.
  • Current cumulative grade point average of 2.7 or higher.
  • Able to demonstrate leadership abilities.
  • Able to demonstrate a financial need.
  • A U.S. Citizen or legal permanent resident with a valid permanent resident card or passport stamped I-551.

Deadline to apply May 10, 2021.
