Duke’s Young Writers’ Program offers a variety of writing courses for middle and high school students. Courses include Myth, Magic, Monsters: Making a World; Paper Cuts, Words that Wound and Win; and Dark Fiction: Living on the Edge and more. Students will spend two weeks meeting fellow writers, honing their craft, exploring new genres, and experiencing a writing community.
Three commuter and residential programs are offered and run from June through July. Residential tuition is $3,700 and the cost for commuters is $1,900 ($2,400 for extended day).
A limited number of need-based partial scholarships are available.
