Students who can create a cool video of themselves explaining math or science concepts have the opportunity to win a $250,000 college scholarship. Khan Academy’s partnering with the Breakthrough Junior Challenge to offer the video contest. They invite students ages 13 through 18 to create a short video, no more than three minutes long, explaining a challenging concept in physics, mathematics, or the life sciences. It can’t be a snooze fest. Students should have fun with it and use their creativity.
In addition to the $250,000, the winner’s teacher will receive a $50,000 prize and the winner’s school will get $100,000 science lab. Everybody wins!
