Students looking to apply to art school can show off their portfolio to colleges at the Virtual National Portfolio Day. The National Portfolio Day Association is sponsoring the event on May 22, 2020, from 9 am to 5 pm EST.

The free online event is designed for prospective undergrads to meet individually with professional representatives of accredited colleges and universities and receive valuable feedback and guidance on their portfolio before they submit it as part of their application.

More than 40 schools have been invited including Rhode Island School of Design, Pratt Institute, Otis College of Art and Design, among others. Portfolios should include the students’ best and most recent visual artwork, but it can also include works in progress, sketchbooks, and tear sheets. Students should expect to explain how they develop their ideas and where they want to go with them.

Students need to register here to attend the May 22 event.
