Lewis & Clark L.E.A.D. Fly-In Program Offers Seniors a Weekend to Explore Campus
Applications are available for Lewis & Clark College L.E.A.D (which stands for lead, explore, achieve, discover) fly-in program which takes place November 9-11, 2015 (the 11th is Veterans Day, a federal holiday).
Located in Portland, OR, Lewis & Clark offers seniors in high school who are leaders in their schools and communities and who are interested in applying to Lewis & Clark College the opportunity to visit campus at the College’s expense, meet current students and faculty, participate in leadership development activities, sit in on classes, spend two nights in a residence hall, taste the food, have an admissions interview, visit Portland, and experience life at Lewis & Clark College firsthand. Preference will be given to underrepresented students of color and first generation prospective college students.

(Note: no incomplete applications will be considered; priority consideration given to applications completed by Sept. 20; late applications considered based on availability and qualifications; materials will not be returned to applicant)
- Official High School Transcript, including grades 9 through 11
- Teacher Recommendation from a core class: humanities, social sciences, natural sciences, math, or foreign language; no specific form required
- Resume of Leadership Activities
- 250-500 word essay describing a time you demonstrated leadership
