The University scholarships provide opportunities for underserved public high school seniors who come from populations historically underrepresented in our industry; who demonstrate economic need and exceptional talent but have a lack of resources to attend college to study theatre.
To be eligible, applicants should be seniors in high school and show a financial need. Their area of focus can be from any aspect of theatre from performance, to design, to writing, to stage management, and others. The scholarships will be awarded to cover tuition fees at an accredited private or public university with a four year degree program. Each scholar will be provided with scholarships of up to $10,000, renewable for four years. Students are expected to maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0.
Deadline to apply is January 31, 2020. Students will be notified in April.
